Shaun Keaveny was first bitten by the broadcast bug when he landed a graveyard shift at London’s 104.9 XFM.
It was here where Shaun delighted his audience with a litany of daft features like Reverend Colin Falafel’s TV Guide and Inside The Mind Of Garry Bushell. In 2004 he took over the XFM mid morning slot, all the while developing a slipshod yet sometimes hilarious radio style that eventually piqued the interest of the BBC. Shaun later joined 6 Music and was quickly promoted to the Breakfast Show. Over the next eleven years he created arguably the most innovative and beloved breakfast show around.
Shaun’s TV career includes Richard Osman's House Of Games (BBC2), Pointless (BBC1) and The Great Exhibition of The North (BBC2) as well as co-hosting live coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival for Sky Arts.
Shaun launched a new afternoon show (1pm - 4pm) in January 2019 before bowing out on a high in 2021. He now fronts the hugely popular podcast The Line Up - now in it's second series, and has launched an innovative new internet radio show (Community Garden Radio) and podcast, SHAUN KEAVENY’S CREATIVE CUL-DE-SAC. He can regularly be heard co-hosting Saturday Live on BBC R4 and telling people that Rod Stewart sang backing vocals on his 2015 Christmas “hit” Please Don’t Get Me Anything For Christmas.
Shaun Keaveny is a perfect host for corporate events and can bring his well known wry humour and charm to proceedings.
